Privacy & cookie policy

Who we are

Sablebourne ("we", "us") is a boutique marketing consultancy operating globally. This policy explains what personal data we collect through sablebourne.com, why, and what your rights are. For any privacy question or request, use our contact form and mark it "Privacy".

What we collect and why

Contact enquiries

When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, company (optional), your message, and any documents you choose to attach. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. Submissions are stored in our Google Workspace environment (Google Sheets and Google Drive) and delivered to us by email.

Career applications

When you apply through the careers form we collect your name, email address, LinkedIn URL, motivation, and your CV. We use this solely to assess your application. Applications are stored in our Google Workspace environment and retained only while relevant to a current or foreseeable opening.

Newsletter ("Field Notes")

When you sign up we store your email address and the page you signed up from, and use it only to send occasional editions. Every email includes an unsubscribe option, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

Analytics

With your consent — and only with your consent — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location at city level, device type). We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies, and only after you accept them:

CookiePurposeDuration
_gaDistinguishes visitors for Google Analytics2 years
_ga_*Maintains the Google Analytics session state2 years

Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage (sb-consent-v1) — this is not a tracking cookie and never leaves your device.

Where your data lives

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their respective data-processing agreements and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards. Career applications are deleted when no longer relevant to an opening unless you ask us to keep them. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
